Question 1

What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?

Accepted Answer

GEO is the practice of structuring your brand's content, entities, and technical infrastructure so AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude — can accurately parse, trust, and cite you in their generated answers. Where SEO optimizes for a ranked list of blue links, GEO optimizes for being the source an AI model quotes or recommends directly.

Question 2

How is GEO different from traditional SEO?

Accepted Answer

Traditional SEO targets keyword rankings on a search results page a human scrolls through. GEO targets inclusion inside a synthesized AI answer a human never scrolls past. That means different inputs win: clear entity definitions, structured data, answer-first content blocks, and citation-worthy statistics matter more than backlink volume or keyword density alone.

Question 3

Why isn't Google SEO enough in 2026?

Accepted Answer

A growing share of B2B research now starts in ChatGPT or Perplexity instead of Google, and Google's own AI Overviews already answer many queries before a user clicks a single organic result. If your content isn't structured for machine extraction and citation, you can rank on page one and still be invisible in the answer your buyer actually reads.

Question 4

How do you get a B2B SaaS brand recommended by ChatGPT?

Accepted Answer

We combine entity optimization (making sure AI models correctly identify who you are and what you do), technical infrastructure (schema markup, llms.txt, crawlable static pages), and answer-first content engineered to be extracted and cited — then we track citation frequency across models and iterate like any other growth channel.

Question 5

What is an AI Citation & Visibility Audit?

Accepted Answer

It's a free automated report that queries multiple AI answer engines with the questions your buyers actually ask, then shows whether your brand is cited, how you compare to named competitors, and the specific technical and content gaps holding you back.

Question 6

How long does it take to see results from GEO?

Accepted Answer

Technical fixes (schema, llms.txt, page structure) can influence AI crawlers within days to weeks. Durable citation growth from new content and entity authority typically compounds over 60–120 days, similar to early-stage SEO, but often faster since generative engines re-crawl and re-synthesize more frequently than traditional search indexes.

Question 7

Do we still need traditional SEO if we invest in GEO?

Accepted Answer

Yes. GEO and SEO share the same foundation — technical health, authoritative content, credible entities — and reinforce each other. We treat GEO as the next layer on top of solid SEO, not a replacement for it.

Question 8

Which AI engines do you optimize for?

Accepted Answer

Our core focus is ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews, since that's where most US B2B buying research now happens. The same entity and technical work also improves visibility in Claude, Copilot, and emerging answer engines, because they draw on overlapping structured-data and crawl signals.
